Role Description This is a full-time (32-40 hours/week), on-site Interior Designer role based in Lancaster, PA. The Interior Designer will collaborate closely with clients to create aesthetically pleasing, functional spaces that align with their needs and preferences. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing space plans, preparing construction drawings, selecting and specifying furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and collaborating with architects and contractors to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget. We are seeking a proactive, organized, and creative professional who can balance technical design work with client communication and project coordination. This role requires someone who can manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high standard of design excellence. Qualifications Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design Experience in Architecture and reading/creating detailed Construction Drawings Knowledge of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) selection and specification Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative abilities Highly self-motivated with an eye for design, organizational skills, and attention to detail Effective communication and collaboration skills with clients, project managers and owners Proficiency in design software such as Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools preferred Proficiency in Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.) and Canva 2+ years of professional interior design experience (residential or design-build industry preferred) Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred Willingness to travel to project sites up to 2 hours away Key Responsibilities Produce detailed design documentation including floor plans, elevations, electrical plans, cabinetry drawings, and 3D renderings using Chief Architect Review concepts, layouts, and material selections with the lead designer to ensure alignment with client goals, company standards, and budgets Create mood boards and client-facing presentations using Canva Collaborate with designers, draftsmen, estimators, and project managers to ensure designs are coordinated, buildable, and within budget Lead clients through the design process and serve as the primary point of contact on all design-related communication Source, specify, and coordinate materials, finishes, and fixtures with vendors and manage material procurement, including ordering, tracking costs, timelines, and delivery status Assist clients during vendor visits and material selections as needed Prepare comprehensive final design packages for handoff to the project manager Maintain accurate documentation of selections and specifications using Google Sheets Conduct site visits to support construction progress and ensure design intent is upheld Full-Time Benefits Competitive Pay Health Insurance Retirement plan with company match Cell phone allowance Mileage reimbursment Paid time off & holiday pay Employee focused company culture
