Boutique interior design firm looking for an experienced designer to fill a project management position.
Job Description:
• Create and design aesthetically pleasing and functional interiors for residential and commercial spaces.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, budget, and preferences.
• Develop detailed design concepts, including layouts, color schemes, furniture, and lighting.
• Produce construction plan sets using design software (AutoCAD).
• Select and source materials, furnishings, and decor items that align with the client’s needs and budget.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and work with contractors and vendors to ensure on-time delivery and installation.
• Provide guidance on space planning and interior ergonomics.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and design innovations.
• Conduct site visits to assess space and ensure design execution aligns with the vision.
• Coordinate with architects, builders, and other professionals to ensure design integrity throughout the project.
• Present design concepts and revisions to clients for approval, ensuring clear communication and alignment with client expectations.
• Oversee the procurement process for furniture, fixtures, and finishes, ensuring quality and budget compliance.
• Troubleshoot design challenges during construction and installations, adjusting designs as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design revisions, client approvals, and project milestones.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, building codes, and accessibility requirements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Proven experience as an Interior Designer with a portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
• Strong creative vision with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Must be willing to travel during the week for installations.
• Experience in single family model merchandising is a plus.
