Stephanie King Design is seeking a Senior Designer to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for supporting and executing the quality of the projects under the supervision of the lead designer. The ideal candidate possess strong technical skills, has experience with project management, has a strong background in all aspects of interior design and is problem solver with a positive attitude, and is a flexible team player in a demanding industry.
Under the leadership of principal designer, Stephanie King, the studio specializes in designing High-End Residential Interiors. Based in the Boston Metro Area, Stephanie King Design serves clients throughout New England and across the country. The design studio approaches each project with a tailored process that provides clients with an individualized home design that is both bespoke in style and uniquely theirs. Candidates will design and manage projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate should have advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, be proficient in Revit or SketchUp. This individual should be confident in all aspects of interior design, project management, and have a solid understanding of construction.
Experience:
5+ years of design experience at a high-end, residential firm, confident with construction projects and familiar with industry vendors
Accredited degree in the design discipline (Interior Design or Architecture)
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD
Proficiency with Revit and SketchUp
Advanced knowledge of construction documents and millwork drawing and details
Proven self-starter
Problem solver with creative solutions
Highly organized
Strong project management experience
Studio IT software experience preferred
Experience with hi-end vendors and resources
In depth knowledge of furniture, lighting, design materials, and industry standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) & Photoshop
A professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Responsibilities:
Perform drafting and presentation work, implement furniture plans and elevations for various projects.
Create construction drawings sets, millwork and cabinet drawings and specifications, architectural details, space planning, etc.
Requesting of quotes, creation of proposals & purchase orders. Enter information into Studio Designer software for review by lead designer.
Create and maintain tracking grids for status reporting
Prepare and coordinate project budgets
Create and maintain design schedules such as lighting, finishes, tile and stone, etc.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, etc. and other correspondence necessary for projects
Sourcing of furniture, fabrics, tile, lighting, hardware, etc.
Assist with preparation of presentation material for client meetings
Coordinate and assist with installations & scheduling
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time
Administrative office tasks
Materials library maintenance
Strong ability to problem solve, have creative solutions to problems

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
