Interior Designer (Specializing in Residential and Multi-Family Projects)

Job Title: Interior Designer ( Focus on residential apartment buildings) Duties • Collaborate with construction teams and property owners to design residential interiors that are both functional and appealing. • Select and specify furnishings, finishes, and materials for lobbies, common areas, and apartments. • Work closely with project managers to meet design goals while staying within budget and meeting tenants' preferences. • Ensure the design reflects the building’s character and targets the local market's tastes in both New York and Miami. • Portfolio demonstrating previous work on high-end, multi-family residential projects (preferably in urban environments). • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to adapt designs to meet tenants' expectations. • Proven ability to design in a way that adds value to properties and increases tenant satisfaction. Experience • Strong understanding of contemporary residential design trends, especially for high-end and luxury buildings. • Experience designing interiors for multi-family properties, including lobbies, common areas, and apartment layouts. • Ability to balance aesthetic appeal with functional design, considering tenant needs and preferences. • Expertise in creating modern, culturally-aware spaces that appeal to diverse demographics. • Proficiency in space planning, layout design, and materials selection for both aesthetics and practical use. • Knowledge of sustainability and energy-efficient design practices in residential buildings. • Proficiency in SketchUp and other relevant design software to create 3D models and renderings of interior spaces. • Ability to shop for and specify high-quality materials, furnishings, and decor to suit the design concept for residential and common areas in multi-family properties.
