The Role As a Senior Interior Designer, you will lead residential projects from concept through completion, guiding clients and collaborating closely with production partners and the design team. This role is ideal for a confident design leader who balances creative vision with technical expertise and client-focused execution. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership & Expertise • Lead all phases of the design process, from concept development through project completion • Create thoughtful space plans, furniture selections, and finish specifications for high-end residential projects • Communicate design intent through presentations, sketches, Revit drawings, and FF&E documentation • Produce comprehensive drawing sets, finish schedules, and specifications aligned with project budgets • Manage the design portion of construction through site visits and contractor coordination Client & Vendor Relations • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle • Present design concepts clearly and professionally, tailoring solutions to client goals • Build trust and guide clients through decision-making with confidence • Coordinate with architects, production teams, vendors, builders, and trade partners • Develop and manage detailed project pricing, furnishing budgets, and change orders with accuracy and clarity • Prepare precise material take-offs to support ordering, procurement, and construction coordination • Maintain strong relationships that support repeat and referral business Team Collaboration & Leadership • Mentor junior designers and uphold Refined & Co. design standards and processes • Collaborate across departments with flexibility and professionalism • Organize and communicate project tasks using online project management tools • Provide direction during furniture deliveries and installations Business & Brand Engagement • Identify opportunities for additional project scope within active client relationships • Represent Refined & Co. as a brand ambassador in client interactions, industry relationships, and networking events • Support marketing and visibility efforts through portfolio development, social content, or events Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field • 8+ years of residential interior design experience • Strong knowledge of building codes and construction methods • Proficiency in Revit (Builder Trend a plus) • Experience with furniture sourcing or sales • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills • Portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical expertise • ASID membership preferred • Reliable transportation for local job site visits To apply: Please submit your resume and portfolio.
