INTERIOR DESIGNER | SEATTLE About you: We are seeking a creative and motivated interior designer to join Urbal Architecture’s dynamic and expanding interiors department. The ideal candidate should: • Hold a degree or certificate in Interior Design from an accredited interior design program. • Ideal applicant will have 5-8 years of work experience in interior design. • Have good communication, organization, and graphic skills (a must). • Fully proficient in Autodesk Revit with Enscape plug-in (or similar rendering software). • Exhibit proficiency in Sketchup and Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign strongly preferred). • Have knowledge in programming, planning and furniture specification. • Have experience in field observation and measurements. • Be proficient in contract documentation. • Be able to organize and manage a project from contract documents through construction. • Be a motivated self-starter who is comfortable working in and managing small teams as well as taking on independent responsibilities. • Be able to travel occasionally to job sites across the US. • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Urbal Architecture is unable to provide sponsorship for H1B visa candidates. • What you will be doing • You’ll be managing a small, but mighty team that is exposed to both the architectural and interior design process from start to finish. • Contribute to programming and space planning. • Selection of interior finishes, furniture, fixtures and equipment. • Develop high-quality presentations and models for client meetings. • Participate in design reviews, charrettes, and pin-ups. • Prepare contract documents, floor plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, furniture plans, interior elevations and details, and material and furniture specifications and schedules. • Create and work within project schedules and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent way. • Communicate ideas and thoughts in a way that inspires others. • Coordinate with clients, partners and consultants • Benefits & Salary Full-time Position Salary: $75-100K depending on experience Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Retirement plan • Vision insurance This is a full-time, in-person position in our Seattle office.
