We are seeking a talented and experienced Residential Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for old and historic homes, an... eye for design, detail, and selections, and a proven track record of successfully completing residential remodeling projects. The Interior Designer will work closely with clients to understand their needs and desires, and then create beautiful and functional design solutions that honor the character and charm of the homes. Responsibilities: Work in a collaborative environment to create innovative designs and selections that respect the architectural character of the older homes we work on. Work with clients to understand their goals and needs for their home renovation project. Conduct site visits to assess the existing conditions and potential of the home. Develop and present innovative design concepts. Prepare detailed design plans, elevations, and specifications for the renovation project using a 3D Cad program. Work with the client in making selections for finished materials. Collaborate with the construction team to ensure the design is executed accurately and to the highest standards. Ensure all designs are in compliance with local building codes and historic preservation regulations. Requirements: A degree in interior design or related field 5 years of experience as an Interior Designer in residential remodeling Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in residential design and attention to detail Knowledge of building codes, historic preservation regulations, and sustainability practices Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills Proficiency in design software such as Chief Architect or Revit A strong knowledge of the selections process and available materials Passion for the architectural details of older homes We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, and the opportunity to work on some of the most beautiful and historic homes in the area.
