About this role

Lake|Flato Architects seeks a sharp and versatile Interior Designer to join our residential studio in our office in San Antonio, Texas. Ideal candidates will exhibit a commitment to rigor in architectural interiors and demonstrated experience working collaboratively with architects. Successful candidates should have a minimum 6 years of experience working on high-end residential projects, ideally in a variety of locations and styles. This role will focus on selection, design, and procurement of architectural interiors fixtures, finishes, and furnishings. Primary responsibilities will consist in aiding in the production of Interiors Documents such as client-facing presentations, documents and drawings for internal and external coordination: material and fixture schedules, furniture plans, furnishing drawings, specifications, control samples, proposals, and purchase orders. The Designer will likely work on multiple projects simultaneously and provide support to the interior design team along with architectural staff. Position Responsibilities: • Collaborate with project teams in the design, documentation, and coordination of architectural interiors: fixtures, finishes, millwork, and furnishings. • Develop interiors drawings budgets and price selected and custom furnishings. • Generate drawings as required to illustrate design intent for the client and for coordination with the architectural team. • Assist in the development and maintenance of the material samples library. • Produce and track client proposals and vendor purchase orders using Studio Designer Required Qualifications: • College degree in Interior Design or Architecture • 6-10 years of experience in high-end residential interior design • Adept oral, written and graphic communication skills. • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office; AutoCAD, SketchUp, Concepts+ and Studio Designer a plus. • Familiarity with procurement best practices. • Ability to sketch and draw by hand. • Motivated to seek direction as needed and to take initiative. • NCIDQ or ASID Certified, LEED Accreditation are a plus Application: Please send a digital copy of the required information below by e-mail to employment@lakeflato.com. • Format email with subject line ‘Residential Interior Designer’ • Digital Portfolio in .pdf or .jpg format (10MB max) • Resume & Cover Letter Please visit our website at information on our firm, our culture and our people.
