Interior Designer & Full-Time Sales Associate

Outrageous Interiors + Design is a family-owned and operated business committed to creating beautiful spaces in the Metro Atlanta area for over 35 years. We seek a Full-Time Interior Designer and a Full-Time Sales Associate in our Alpharetta location. As our business expands, we want to add individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are positive and professional problem-solvers motivated to do whatever it takes to serve our customers and work to maintain the presentation of the sales floor, products, signage, and displays. The ideal Full-Time Interior Design candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create designs based on conversations with a client. The candidate should be confident communicating regularly with the client in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. The candidate should maintain familiarity with the interior design landscape and trends in order to provide the best ideas for clients. Responsibilities • Create attractive designs and layouts for various projects • Meet with client in order to understand the client's objectives and desires • Communicate effectively with client, vendors and team in order to address client's needs • Prepare presentations (3D, 2D,mock-ups and renderings) for clients • Create quotes for clients and ensure full workflow is followed • Maintain industry knowledge in order to stay relevant Qualifications • Bachelor's degree 2 - 3 years of experience in related field Proficient in Microsoft Office suite • Strong creative and communication skills • Demonstrated ability to execute The ideal Full-Time Sales Associate will have a passion for creating beautiful spaces, believe in excellent customer service, and are an outstanding team player, you may be the perfect fit! As one of the first team members our customers are greeted by at Outrageous Interiors + Design, associates work closely with customers in-store to help them achieve the #OutrageouslyChic design experience. Responsibilities • Greet and assist customers in the store, understanding their vision and goals for their home and helping them to achieve it • Ask probing questions to understand the customer's needs and demonstrate selling behaviors by recommending, selecting and helping locate merchandise for customers • Prepare and process new products for the sales floor and merchandise the products on the sales floor, continually looking for displays to improve and enhance throughout the store • Maintain and update the presentation of the sales floor, products, signage, and displays as new products arrive weekly • Take initiative and jump into new tasks daily, based on the needs of the company • Operate POS system to process payments • Share with all customers design service offerings - from in-home design to in-store complimentary design Requirements • Previous retail or sales experience • Passionate about communication and interacting with new people regularly • Enthusiastic attitude and passionate about teamwork and client satisfaction • Comfortable standing for long periods of time and able to lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays • Take initiative and jump into new tasks daily, based on the needs of the company Hours: The store is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. The Interior Designer must work 5 days a week and at least two Saturdays a month are required. The Sales Associate must work 4 days a week and some Saturdays are required.
