We are seeking a Lead Interior Designer with at least 10 years of experience in commercial an multifamily interior design and some experience with residential (helpful). Our person should be very passionate and looks forward to coming to work everyday and they thrive in a dynamic team environment. In this job, you will work with a team to address the issues of our clients (style, budget, and schedule) and enjoy the challenge of working with sophisticated real estate developers.
Our exciting and varied projects include multifamily residential, residential, and hospitality. Our clients, the top developers in the country, look to us for a broad range of design styles — from renovations to contemporary design. With expansion comes the need to add more talented design professionals, like yourself! We are looking to hire an Interior Designer to grow with the firm.

Interior Designer Responsibilities:
Develop overall design for projects including architectural space planning
Design and production of interior technical drawings (in Revit) including plans, elevations, and details
Millwork design and detailing
Research, select and document fixtures and finishes
FF&E material selections and specifications
Coordination with multiple disciplines, including architects, MEP engineers, general contractor, and on-site construction personnel
Produce design presentations and construction documents
Client presentations
Oversee and manage project fee, budget, and schedule
Communication with clients, design team and director
Supervise design team
Interior Designer Capabilities:
To check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule outlined by Project Manager.
To participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of interior design document production.
To engage in creative and critical thought.
To hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively.
To interpret sketches, drawings, project program and other similar material.
To communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written).
Working knowledge of interiors finishes and the contract furniture selection
Detailing architectural elements and finishes
Interfacing with clients, architects, and contractors
Coordinating with manufacturers, vendors and representatives
Strong design skills and proven ability to visually communicate design ideas are essential
Experience with a range of project types including education, multifamily and workplace
Self-motivated individual able to work well in a highly collaborative office environment
Ability to handle deadlines and interact effectively with others to meet project milestones
Strong CAD and construction documentation skills required; rendering experience preferred
Good computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft and Adobe Suite required
Working independently to address design challenges and make decisions that achieve project and client goals.
Completing all phases of the design process including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration on small to larger projects.
Developing interior finish materials and construction details.
Designing and preparing interior finish presentation boards for review by clients.
Processing shop drawings and checking to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness.
Preparing technical specifications to suit project design requirements along with cost estimates and budgets.
Working within an integrated architectural and interior design team to develop all phases of the design process and coordinate interior design with other disciplines.
Strong artistic skills, including hand rendering and sketching capabilities preferred
Results-driven with proven ability to motivate, influence and inspire a team

Current with local and global design industry trends
