Job Description THE POSITION...
Pophouse is seeking an Interior Designer formally trained with a focus on commercial interior design to create unique design solutions for our clients. This team member is passionate about design and always looking to push their skills to the next level. They have a range of both creative and technical experience, are a highly motivated problem solver, and are able to manage a diverse project load and client base. This person has expertise in both large and small scale projects and a deep understanding of the necessary steps in each phase to ensure
successful project completion.
Responsibilities
Work with senior design staff and leadership to develop innovative design solutions that are reflective of client goals, brand, and culture
Collaborate on commercial interior projects that include programming client needs, developing conceptual and schematic design strategies, space planning, and design development documentation
Participate in design critiques and charrettes with design team and senior leadership
Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture specifications customized to each clients scope and budget
Generate Material Selections And Finish Plans Required For Construction
Prepare presentations and graphic renderings of plans, sections, elevations, and 3D views for client meetings
Assist in the creation of project budgets and adherence to the set budget and timeline
Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and vendors to meet overall project objectives
Participate in job site review and construction administration efforts, including furniture and construction punch list

Knowledge of contract furniture specification and procurement processes
Knowledge of drawing design techniques, tools and principles
Knowledge of construction methodology, materials and manufacturers
Ability to set priorities and work both individually and alongside a team
Ability to consistently meet deadlines and develop next steps within project teams
Knowledge of industry trends and standards
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Ability to travel periodically
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited
college or university, CIDA accredited program highly preferred
4-6 Years Of Professional Experience In Interior Design
2-3 years of experience in commercial interiors required
NCIDQ Certification, LEED Accreditation a plus
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
3D Computer modeling and rendering skills (SketchUp, 3Ds Max, Enscape, and/or other modeling software)
Working knowledge of industry standards and drawing documentation methods
Graphic presentation and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
Knowledge in contract furniture, fixtures, and equipment sourcing, specification, and procurement
