Lori Margolis Interiors is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support the team and principal. We are a quickly growing firm and have clients based in NYC, Connecticut, and the Hamptons. Join our team as a Part-time Interior Designer with the potential to transition into a full time role. We are looking for a creative mind to collaborate on exciting projects. Requirements... • Candidate must reside in NYC or surrounding area, must be willing to work in - office and remote • 1 - 2+ years professional experience with a focus on Residential and Commercial Interiors, working towards or has Bachelor's Degree Interior Design • Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Photoshop • Strong organizational, creative and presentation skills • Productive attitude and willingness to collaborate with the team • Work under pressure, produce deliverables, and meet deadlines • Excellent communication skills Responsibilities Include: • Preparing client presentations • Identify, select, and specify Architectural products and vendors. Have a working knowledge of Architectural Materials and Vendors • Produce technical and construction documentation (plans, elevations, sections, architectural/millwork details) that illustrate the design intent and use of materials for a range of residential and commercial projects • Develop Interior Design packages and concept/mood strategies; and successfully implement them from concept phase through project execution • Creating visuals for client meetings in Photoshop • Communicating and corresponding with vendors • Job site management during installations • Maintaining detailed budget spreadsheets • Creating and tracking purchase orders • Assist principal through all phases of a project from proposal to delivery • Help to plan, draw, and design for project completion • Produce construction documents to support design concepts • Produce and review project proposal specs • Help coordinate details of Architectural/Interior Design projects • Coordinate with architect and outside consultants throughout all project phases.
