Full-Time (Hybrid) - Reports To: Interior Design Lead
We are seeking an Interior Designer to join our diverse and growing team. In this role, you will play an integral part in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing extraordinary interior spaces that deliver immersive experiences that lift the spirit. You will work closely with our talented team of designers, architects, and engineers on... projects that range from mixed-use, to corporate offices, houses of faith, themed entertainment projects, hotels, museums, restaurants, and retail spaces.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Vast Project Reach, with a Focus
Over the course of your time with us, you will have the opportunity to work on the design of interior spaces for multiple project types, including themed entertainment projects, however much of the focus of this position is related to more traditional architectural spaces for hospitality and mixed-use projects.
Design Documentation
Provide design documentation in various forms such as graphic illustration, imagery boards, color renderings, research, and technical documentation for assigned projects, including specifications of all materials and furnishings through each phase of design and production.
Technical Tasks
Perform various technical tasks including color & material design, REVIT support, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) design and specifications.
Creative Conceptualization
Consistently bring innovative and appropriate ideas, designing elements that fit the space for maximum impact.
Space Planning
Provide expert support for space planning and broad spatial organizational concepts, specifying materials, systems, equipment, and furniture.
Client Interaction and Presentation
Support and deliver client presentations in conjunction with Producers and other Creative Leaders.
Trend Analysis
Regularly follow trends in Hospitality, Architecture, Themed-Attractions and Interior Design.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Collaborate across teams and departments with ease.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 5-8 years of professional experience in interior design, with a focus on mixed-use, churches, hospitality, and/or retail environments.
• Proficiency in design software such as Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• Exceptional creative and technical design skills.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• A portfolio that demonstrates a range of creative and technical work.
PREFERRED
• NCIDQ, LEED, or other related industry certifications.
• An understanding of the church related architecture and programming.
• Some experience with immersive and interactive design elements and thematic showset design.
