Interior Designer (5+ years experience)

About the position Sechrist Design Associates is seeking an experienced mid-level or senior designer or interior architectural designer to join their award-winning interior design firm located in Seattle, WA. The firm specializes in multi-family, senior living, high-end residential, and creative branding, working with recognized companies and developers in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will be a talented, motivated, and forward-thinking designer who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth. Responsibilities • Project management of small to mid-scale projects , • Develop project narratives and design concepts , • Sell the vision , • Select and specify finishes and fixtures , • Select and specify FF&E , • Create 3D visualizations using Sketch-up , • Assemble digital design presentations for projects and creative branding initiatives , • Produce schematic and construction documents using AutoCAD , • Assist with construction administration and shop drawings Requirements • Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture , • Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design , • Experience in multi-family and/or senior living is required , • Ability to manage the client, the schedule, the budget, and the expectations of the project , • Highly developed skills with AutoCAD, strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch-up , • Knowledge of interior construction detailing , • Strong verbal and graphic presentation skills , • Knowledge of products and FF&E, their appropriate uses, relevant vendors, and how to specify Nice-to-haves • Experience in residential, commercial, retail, or hospitality industries , • Project management experience Benefits • 401(k) , • Dental insurance , • Health insurance , • Paid time off , • Professional development assistance , • Retirement plan , • Vision insurance
