Responsibilities • Develop comprehensive interior design concepts using tools like SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite to visualize ideas clearly and convincingly. • Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for renovation, remodeling, lighting design, and construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client requirements. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously by coordinating schedules, budgets, and resources effectively through strong project management skills. • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and functional needs; present design proposals confidently and incorporate feedback seamlessly. • Source materials, furnishings, lighting fixtures, and finishes that align with design intent while maintaining budget constraints; negotiate contracts with vendors when necessary. • Oversee the implementation of designs on-site by liaising with contractors and construction teams to ensure quality standards are met during renovation or remodeling phases. • Apply principles of color theory and drafting techniques to create visually appealing spaces that harmonize aesthetics with functionality. Requirements • Proven experience in interior design or related fields with a portfolio demonstrating proficiency in 1 or more from the following SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite. • Strong knowledge of CAD drafting standards, lighting sales strategies, remodeling processes, construction practices, and budgeting techniques. • Familiarity with contract management including drafting agreements and understanding legal considerations within interior projects. • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects under tight deadlines. • Knowledge of lighting design principles combined with experience in lighting sales or lighting project execution is a plus. • Understanding of color theory and interior design fundamentals necessary for creating cohesive spaces that reflect client personalities. • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members to ensure smooth project flow from concept through completion.
