Interior Designer

AMI Design is a luxury interior design studio based in the heart of Huntington Village, NY, where exceptional design meets meticulous execution. We create custom residential interiors for discerning clients across NYC, Long Island's North Shore, and the Hamptons—homes where every detail matters and no two projects are ever the same. We are seeking an Interior Designer to join our team full-time or part-time at our Huntington, NY studio. This is a hands-on role where you'll develop your technical skills while contributing to luxury residential projects from concept through installation. A significant focus of this position is producing precise AutoCAD drawings that bring our custom designs to life. You'll create detailed construction documents including space plans, custom cabinetry and millwork drawings, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and specifications. Your drawings will be the blueprint for builders and craftsmen, so accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Beyond drafting, you'll collaborate with our design team on all phases of projects—helping with design development, selecting furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and ensuring every detail aligns with our clients' visions. You'll learn our process for creating personalized, high-end interiors while honing the technical expertise that sets great designers apart. This role is perfect for someone who loves the precision of CAD work, wants to master the art of construction documentation, and is excited to grow within a studio that values craftsmanship and beautiful design. Ideal candidates for the position must hold a degree in Interior Design with a solid understanding of interior design standards and practices. Experience in the Interior Design industry as well as with AutoCad is required.
