Interior Designer

Company Overview We are a growing residential design and drafting company serving homeowners and contractors. Our work ranges from remodels and additions to new custom homes. Position Summary We are seeking a talented Interior Designer with a strong design background who is also excited to expand their skill set by cross-training in drafting. The ideal candidate brings hands-on interior design experience, an eye for detail, and a willingness to learn technical drafting software and workflows. This role is perfect for a designer who wants to broaden their career by combining creative design with technical plan development. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients to develop design concepts for remodels, additions, and new builds • Create interior layouts, finish schedules, and selections that align with client goals • Work with the drafting team that translates design concepts into accurate construction drawings • Learn and apply drafting skills in software such as Chief Architect, AutoCAD, or similar programs • Support in preparing design presentations, material boards, and documentation for permitting and construction Qualifications • Proven experience as an Interior Designer (residential experience preferred) • Strong knowledge of design principles, finishes, and materials • Proficiency with design tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, or Chief Architect (a plus if already familiar) • Ability and willingness to cross-train in drafting software and workflows • Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills What We Offer • Cross-training in drafting to expand your professional skill set • Opportunity to work on diverse residential projects from start to finish • Collaborative and supportive team environment • Competitive pay based on experience • Growth potential in both design and drafting career paths Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person
