WORK OBJECTIVE: For assigned FF&E projects, preparation of customer proposals, design specifications, project management, relevant material & service sourcing & negotiations, and procurement.EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. It is not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class. Additional duties may be assigned relevant to the position at the discretion of the Interior Design/FF&E Manager.Prepare scopes of work and design specifications for the FF&E Design Engineer to create high quality 3D renderings for customer proposals.Support CRM sales personnel when required. This could include customer presentations and/or accompanying CRM sales personnel on calls when a high degree of interior design expertise is needed.Maintain required inputs on Construction Online as they pertain to assigned projects and ensure updates are made in real time.Procurement, sourcing, and negotiating of materials and services required from vendors to ensure best balance of delivery, quality, and price. Function as project manager, especially for projects that are primarily FF&E in scopeMake customer presentations and proposals in support of FF&E sales growth and achieving optimal hit ratesAssist in doing incoming inspections on materials received for FF&E projects to ensure they meet quality and specification requirementsAssist in the facilitation of AR and AP efforts as required to ensure smooth project execution and completionContributes to achieving year over year planned sales growth and profitability targetsQualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A 4-year bachelor's degree in interior design, or equivalent work experience In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:At least 5 years of interior design experience in addition to the above referenced 4 year degreeKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Basic knowledge of the materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildingsBasic use of 2D CAD to create construction drawingsWorking independently and following through with assignments with minimal supervisionReasoning skills that minimize duplication of efforts, including but not limited to comparing, classifying, analyzing and coordinatingMulti-task while working with tight deadlines and shifting prioritiesEstablish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work Communicate effectively orally and in writingTravel: 20-30% local and to remote CRM contract and project locationsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work and may require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of heavy objects or materials (up to 50 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment.
