Position Summary: The primary function of the Interior Designer will be providing assistance to the Sales + Strategy Lead to guide clients in the selection of materials, colors, furnishings, and speciality items that align with their vision and desired aesthetic. In addition, the interior designer will be responsible for understanding the overall space plan and integration of furniture solutions with power, data, audio visual, special technology needs, and other unique requirements. The interior designer will also be expected to work closely with manufacturers to ensure quality control from design development through engineering and manufacturing. Critical Skills & Abilities • Strong interpersonal and team skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Highly organized • Ability to analyze issues and develop solutions • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Self-motivated • Deadline oriented • Strong math skills • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in MS Office Platform (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) as well as ProjectSpec, AutoCAD, CET, and BlueBeam. • Advanced knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), lighting, art signage, color and materials to carryout design intent • Knowledge of design, trends, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness • Possess creative talent in conceptual design and computer rendering skills • Develops innovative design concepts which are practical, aesthetic, safe and conducive to intended purposes and function which is reflective of client goals and within project budget • Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary • Implements and utilizes SPACESINC standards for all projects and processes Educational/Professional Experience • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or other related field Professional Knowledge/Experience • Project knowledge that provides an understanding of the commercial interiors industry • Experience in reading and understanding blueprints, BlueBeam, ProjectSpec, Project Matrix, CET, AutoCAD, Revit or other industry related software Equal Opportunity Employment SPACESINC provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
