Interior Designer & 3D Renderer (Client-Facing Role)

Job Description We are looking for a talented and confident Interior Designer based in San Diego who can take a client from initial idea all the way through design decisions and into a complete, build ready plan. This is not a typical office based design role. You will work directly with me on active remodeling projects, guiding clients through layout, material selection, and overall design direction while creating clear visuals that allow them to confidently move forward. The goal is to eliminate back and forth, simplify decisions, and turn ideas into real projects quickly. This role sits at the intersection of design, decision making, and execution. You are not just creating visuals, you are helping drive projects forward. What You’ll Be Doing Guide clients from early ideas into a clear, actionable design direction Help clients confidently make decisions on layout, materials, finishes, and overall look Create detailed layout plans for each space, including diagrams and floor plan views that clearly define the design Produce sharp, realistic 3D renderings that seamlessly integrate layout and material selections to give clients a clear, build ready vision of their space Translate design concepts into practical, buildable plans that align with real world execution Simplify choices and keep clients from feeling overwhelmed while maintaining strong design direction Build a complete design package that includes final 3D renderings, selected materials, and layout plans, serving as the finalized design reference for the project Assist in finalizing selections that align with scope, budget, and construction requirements Support a smooth transition from design into construction by ensuring clarity and completeness Added opportunity Join initial client meetings when needed and help visualize ideas on the spot to accelerate decision making and help move projects toward closing What This Role Is Not Not a back office only design role Not a slow, drawn out design process Not just creating renders without impact This is a fast moving, client facing role focused on real projects and real results. What We’re Looking For Strong interior design sense with a deep understanding of layouts, materials, and functionality Ability to create clear, high quality 3D renderings that effectively communicate the final vision Comfortable working directly with clients and communicating ideas confidently Ability to simplify decisions and guide clients without overwhelming them Strong understanding of how design translates into real world construction Organized and able to manage multiple active projects in a fast moving environment Compensation $1,000 to $2,000 per project depending on scope and complexity Extra earning potential when attending initial client meetings and contributing to closing projects on the spot Location San Diego only. Must be local and available for in person collaboration. Pay: $20.00 - $60.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in San Diego, CA 92111
