About this role

Found Design Studio is an award-winning interior design firm on the North Shore of Boston. We are seeking qualified, highly-skilled candidates with 10+ years of experience in the high-end residential design space to join our office in Essex, MA. Qualifications: • Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program • 10+ years experience in a high-end residential interior design firm • Expertise in AutoCAD • Working knowledge of Canva, Pages, Numbers • Proficiency in Studio Designer (willing to teach the right person, although you must have expertise in writing proposals) • Highly skilled in space planning, furniture layouts • Possess technical knowledge of the building and construction process • Highly skilled at simultaneously managing multiple projects and deliverables • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Organized, detail-oriented and self-sufficient with excellent time management skills • Excellent problem-solving skills • Experience working with Boston-area design vendors and contractors • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required for visits to job sites, vendors, etc. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): • Managing a team through all phases of the design process from concept to completion • Managing junior level staff in daily and on-going tasks • Documenting and drafting existing conditions • Creation and development of AutoCAD drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, etc.) • The ability to hand sketch (floor plans, elevations) • Create and manage client files including schedules and budgets • Attend client meetings solo as well as with other staff • Develop client presentations (adept at sourcing options for fabrics, furniture, artwork, plumbing, tile, lighting, etc.) • Attend site visits with contractors and vendors and assist in overseeing work (construction, furniture and drapery installations, artwork installations, etc.) • Source new products, vendors, etc., and keep good relations with existing vendors • Place orders, track items and coordinate all deliveries Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position based out of our office in Essex, MA.
