Job description
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist principal and senior designers in all aspects of design projects including concept design, design development, and project management. This includes assistance with design presentations, procuring quotes and estimates, and ordering and tracking furniture items as needed. Preparing full working drawing packages for client projects including interior architectural plans and elevations, construction details, schedules, and furniture drawings. The Interior Designer will work closely with lead designers to develop design intent schematic drawings into construction documents, making relevant updates and changes to all drawings throughout the course of project development and construction.
• 3-D Modeling/render interior architecture & furniture
• CAD drawings; interior plans and elevations, furniture plan, construction details, sections, schedules and furniture drawings.
• Render floor plans, elevations and 2D furniture drawings - making sure perspective renderings and furniture plans are current & up to date.
• Communicate with project teams (architects and various contractors) regarding coordination of design intent, details, and construction issues.
• Material key & schedules (per project: assistance with organizing and production)
• Appliance & fixture schedules (per project: assistance with organizing and production)
• Research and development: sourcing material samples, specifications and quotes
• Project organization & filing - maintaining organized internal digital files per client
• Develop and maintain a 3-D furniture Inventory with team including furniture, books, accessories, plant material
• General office tasks; ongoing office & storage (samples) room organization, light cleaning assistance, miscellaneous packing and shipping assistance, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
