Interior Designer (Part-Time) Melissa Fischer Interiors (MFI) At Melissa Fischer Interiors, we specialize in creating timeless, curated spaces that reflect each client’s unique lifestyle and personality. As an Interior Designer, you will take the lead on day-to-day design execution while collaborating closely with the Principal Designer and the internal team to ensure seamless project flow, exceptional client service, and elevated design outcomes. Located in or near Park City, Utah. Key Responsibilities: • Lead all aspects of design development, including concept creation, space planning, finish and material selection, and FF&E specification. • Create and present design boards, mood concepts, and sourcing decks using tools such as Canva and Programma to bring ideas to life. Work closely with the creative assistant and design intern. • Translate the Principal Designer’s vision into detailed design plans, ensuring continuity from concept through installation. • Produce and review technical drawings, floor plans, and elevations with precision and attention to detail. • Maintain ongoing communication with the Operations Manager and Project Manager to align on project timelines, budgets, vendor updates, and client deliverables. • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and fabricators to manage lead times, ensure quality, and troubleshoot design challenges. • Attend site visits, installations, and client meetings, ensuring the execution of design intent and a positive client experience. • Guide and collaborate with junior design staff and the creative assistant, fostering a team-oriented and solutions-driven environment. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field • 5+ years of experience in high-end residential or boutique commercial interior design • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Programma (or similar industry tools) Nice to have but not required • Strong organizational and project management skills with a collaborative communication style • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for scale, proportion, and materiality • Ability to multitask across multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment Compensation: • Starting at $30 an hour - review after 90 days
