Overview
Savoir Faire is a full-service interior design studio servicing New England and beyond. Drawing inspiration from global design, their curated, transitional approach infuses homes with character and charm. Savoir Faire is seeking a highly motivated individual for an Interior Designer position with at least two years of experience. The ideal candidate will work alongside the company's principal to assist in delivering all phases of our projects, from conceptual ideas to implementation. This position has high client, contractor, and vendor interaction. The candidate should possess excellent project management skills, high attention to detail, a resourceful and refined design sense, enthusiastic communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
Skills/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or similar.
• 2+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, team-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Professional work ethic and appearance.
• Strong client communication.
• Advanced attention to detail.
• Comfortability with projects of all sizes.
• Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and installations.
• Knowledge of "to the trade" vendors.
• Familiarity with StudioDesigner is a plus.
Duties:
• Undertake design project from concept to completion on time and within budget.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design drawings, and furniture layouts.
• Create construction documents and specifications that can be used for ordering and communicating with contractors, workrooms, and vendors.
• Produce shop drawings & millwork drawings for contractors, subcontractors, and manufacturers.
• Collaborate with other designers on the team.
• Source new products, vendors, and inspiration for projects.
• Create presentation packages for client meetings.
• Select furnishings, fixtures, finishes, and fabrics for projects within the client’s style.
• Job site visits for project management purposes and coordination with contractors/subcontractors to ensure deadlines are met.
• Procurement of products and materials and continued communication with vendors until goods are received.
• Paperwork for invoicing, billing, and special ordering.
• Managed goods ordered for a project and provided an open line of communication with the receiving facility.
• Coordination of deliveries and installations with clients.
• Pricing and estimating the cost of goods and services and translating those costs into a quote.
• Maintain strong client relationships.
Work Location: Andover, MA, Tuesday through Thursday. Located at 23 Barnard Street. Remote work Monday & Friday
