About this role

Overview Exciting new home and design boutique in Rye Brook is seeking an experienced interior designer to work with clients on all aspects of residential jobs. Responsibilities will include project management, lighting schemes, paint selections, flooring specifications and full-service interior design needs. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Position will start in September, hiring now. Duties - Collaborate with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and budget constraints - Create design concepts that align with clients' vision and requirements - Develop detailed plans, including layouts, color schemes, furniture selection, and lighting design - Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D for drafting and designing - Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to - Oversee the construction or renovation process to ensure designs are implemented accurately - Interface with clients with confidence, enthusiasm, and passion - Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and bring new ideas and products to the table - Coordinate with outside consultants and vendors - Proficiency in writing specifications and reviewing of shop drawings and submittals - Sourcing finishes, furnishings and fabrics for hospitality and residential projects - Designing and overseeing production of custom furnishings Experience ### Required Skills: • must have a strong portfolio showing the ability of professional working experience, managing projects, managing budgets. • Strong Rendering skills • Proficient in Auto CAD • Provide excellent presentation skills and proficiency in Photoshop, particularly for renderings ,in addition to In Design, Sketch Up and Microsoft Office Suite • Experience in commercial and high-end residential design • Experience with creating all project documentation, including Design Development sets • Strong knowledge of environmental and sustainability friendly products • Basic knowledge of current building codes including ADA requirements ### Nice-to-Have Skills: - Experience with Adobe Creative Suite for creating visual presentations - Familiarity with Rhinoceros 3D for 3D modeling and rendering/ rendering software.
