Interior Designer

We are hiring for an Interior Architectural Designer in the Charlotte, NC area. 6 month temp to hire. Job Description: • Read and interpret architectural drawings • Selections for Design Drawings • Prepare technical & shop drawings and details for our projects • Work in a profitable and timely manner according to company standards • Interpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information obtained, as well as make any modifications as needed • Work closely with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issues • Responsibility for maintaining multiple projects at a time and keeping up with revisions as they progress from initiation to completion • Be able to follow computer processes and procedures • Attend client meetings as required • Maintain a draw & build a standard option library • Possess a high degree of passion, drive and knowledge to achieve the best possible creative results • Must have a passion for design and an eagerness to learn Required: • 5 Years of Architectural Design Drafting • Proficient software skills including AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sketchup. • Knowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/material. • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, organized, and effective under pressure • Have 3D visional interpretation of construction situations • Ability to work well with others and follow directions • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to multitask and manage several projects • Demonstrate critical thinking skills • Dedicated and trustworthy person with extra attention to detail Preferred: • Luxury residential custom building industry. ($1Mil+ Homes) • Good knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building code • Experience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture details.
