Operating out of their historic farm in Blooming Glen, Pennsylvania, the company excels in blending heirloom-quality design and construction with modern functionality, creating inspirational and affirming spaces for their clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Client Consultation and Needs Assessment: • Engage with clients to understand their design vision, preferences, and lifestyle requirements. • Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing conditions and identify design opportunities. • Collaborate with clients to develop design concepts, mood boards, and color schemes that align with their objectives. • Space Planning and Layout Design: • Create functional and aesthetically pleasing floor plans and layouts that optimize space utilization. • Select and specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) that complement the design concept and meet budgetary constraints. • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to seamlessly integrate design elements into construction plans. • Material and Finish Selection: • Source and recommend materials, finishes, and decorative elements, such as flooring, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, and hardware. • Evaluate product samples and prototypes to ensure quality, durability, and aesthetic compatibility. • Stay updated on design trends, product innovations, and sustainable materials to inform design decisions. • Presentation and Communication: • Prepare and present design proposals, renderings, and presentations to clients, clearly conveying design concepts and material selections. • Communicate with project managers, craftsmen, and subcontractors to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications. • Respond to client feedback and inquiries with professionalism and attention to detail. The ideal candidate should possess: • Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field. • 3-5 years experience in residential interior design, preferably within the remodeling or construction industry. • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite • Strong creative vision, spatial awareness, and attention to detail. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
