Interior Designer

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 / year Cook Design House is seeking a creative, dependable, and detail-oriented Interior Designer with 3-5 years’ experience in interior design to work closely with the Principal & Lead Designer to assist with design planning & implementation. We are looking for someone who is passionate about interior design and establishing relationships with our clients and one another. Each role is hired and evaluated on each of our 6 Core Values: • Kindness • Respect • Trustworthiness • Welcoming • Relationships • Dependability Responsibilities & Duties • Assist Lead Designer/Principal in all phases of project from design concept creation to installation • Attend key client meetings/presentations to take notes and assist project lead • Anticipate project lead’s design meetings related to Interior Designer’s work and prepare necessary materials/documents (furniture plans, fabric samples, design schematics, etc) • Proactively communicate with Lead Designer/Principal regarding upcoming project tasks and status of previously assigned tasks • Lead in sourcing & specifying all furniture and accessories based on direction provided by project lead • Develop presentations for review/approval based on direction provided by project lead. Including: Schematic Design presentations, furniture & fabric presentations, furniture plans, and client furniture proposals • Create construction documents (furniture plans, demo plans, elevations, etc) for project lead’s review • Assist Principal/Lead Designer in sourcing all fixed finish selections • Write product specifications for fixed finishes and create finish schedules • Coordinate with vendors to obtain product pricing & availability, following up on order status as needed, approve CFA’s, etc • Delegate appropriate project tasks to Junior Designers as needed Qualifications & Skills • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in interior design degree required • Proficient in AutoCAD required • 3-5 years related experience as a design assistant or junior designer required. • Strong understanding of the design process. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom • Knowledge of Studio Designer is a plus Working Conditions • Full Time position (40 hours minimum) per week • Located in Denver, CO • Must have working vehicle to travel to project sites and between offices. • Must feel comfortable working interactively with teammates and industry partners.
