Interior Designer

BKSK Architects is a New York City-based firm specializing in socially engaging, contextually appropriate, and ecologically conscious design. We are looking for an Interior Designer with 3-5 years of experience to join our Interior Design team. The ideal candidate will... have a passion for transforming spaces into beautiful interior environments, strong technical capabilities, and a positive, collaborative working method. Ideal Candidates will have the following qualifications: Degree in Architecture from an accredited university or Degree in Interior Design with work experience in an Architectural firm 3-5 years of experience, (NYC based experience preferred) Strong design skills with proven experience designing interior spaces Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, / Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design-related programs Experience in sustainable design and healthy building materials (LEED/ Well/ Pratt Healthy Materials Lab accreditation a plus) Experience with multiple phases of project development from schematic design through construction. Ability to work on multiple project typologies Strong knowledge of material properties, sourcing and research with the ability to understand and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices Motivated self-starter and works well in a collaborative environment Ability to produce and present design work to communicate clearly and confidently with team members, stakeholders and clients Expertise in creating visual appealing presentations including, but not limited to, mood boards, diagramming, 3D renderings, space planning, furniture, finishes and interior building components.
