Interior Designer

Job Summary: HBA Architecture & Interior Design, Inc. is currently searching for a certified Interior Designer for our Virginia Beach, Virginia office... We are seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented designer who can demonstrate experience delivering exceptional design solutions. Position Description: Candidate shall be capable of analyzing, designing, documenting, and managing interior design projects on a multitude of project types with a variety of project teams. The designer should be familiar with life-safety, fire, and building codes, and have a thorough understanding of design guidelines and industry standards. They will be involved in all aspects of project management including budgeting, scheduling, staff management, and mentoring/ training less experienced designers. Candidates shall demonstrate the following qualifications: • NCIDQ certification required; • Accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent experience; • Minimum 6 years of industry experience; • Demonstrated experience with all aspects of a project’s development from programming to post-occupancy; • Possess conceptual design and graphic skills; • Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively as a cohesive team member; • Possess strong communication skills; • Exhibit a positive attitude and approach to their work; • Detail oriented and organized; • Self-motivated and eager to learn; • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suites; • Demonstrated proficiency in Rendering software; • Experience with FF&E design, specifications, and procurement a plus; HBA provides exceptional design and facility solutions to enhance our clients’ business, the quality of our community and the environment.
