Interior Designer

Studio SFW, a collaborative architecture and interior design studio in NYC, is seeking an interior designer to join our team. Working under the direction of our design principals and with a team of project designers, this individual will contribute directly to the design vision and successful execution of a range of high-end residential projects. Candidates should have 5 years experience in... interiors, exhibit strong design and organizational skills, and be able to contribute to a fast-paced, creative office. Experience working in an architecture/design firm is a plus. You bring the enthusiasm, we’ll bring the fun. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Production of clear conceptual, schematic and design development drawings, sketches and presentation materials. Production of Schematic, Design Development, and Construction Documentation Level documentation including schedules & specifications as required. Source and refine finishes and materials including fabrics, trims, lighting & electrical fixtures, plumbing fittings & fixtures, accessories, and other items required for the execution of the project’s design vision. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Interface with external consultants and design teams to keep projects on schedule & budget Manage project & furnishing budgets Preparation and development of presentations & design documentation Produce and properly file meeting agendas & minutes, project notes, project memos, sketches, and other document File and track all incoming documentation from other consultants
