Interior Designer

One of Central Oregon’s leading custom home builders has an immediate full-time opening for an interior designer. Our firm specializes in design-build of custom boutique single-family homes, and we work closely as a team throughout the entire design and construction process. We are looking for a self-motivated employee with a growth mindset for our company. This role would work in a collaborative... environment with all project managers and other team members to deliver the best product for our clients. What You Get to Do! · Design and collaborate with the Team and clients to seek design solutions that reflect client's personality · Facilitates and leads design presentation documentation, finish selections · Participates in various sized projects from concept design through construction administration · Involvement in more than one project at a time · Research and select exterior and interior finishes that both fits design concept and client’s budget · Balancing project fees and client budgets with help from Project Managers · Collaborate with architectural team on selection documentation through all phases of the project · For smaller projects may oversee and draft all design and drawings · Ensure integration into overall design · Provide details on all design elements and selections to Project Managers and other relevant team members · Ability to work independently and with a team on all phases of a project · Proactively participate in the client and vendor meetings through all phases of the project · Ability to be the main client contact for a project and lead the client process What You Will Bring… · Bachelor’s degree from accredited school preferred · Minimum 5 years Interior Design experience with a background in residential · Minimum 1-year Residential Construction Experience · Strong knowledge of the design process and aesthetics in residential design · Experience working in an integrated architecture/interiors team · Strong interest in design and collaborating with various members of the Team to seek design solutions that reflect client's personality · Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite to produce presentation packages and communicate design ideas · Experience in BuilderTrend, Revit and Sketch Up is a plus · Knowledge and experience in exterior and interior finishes, from research to selection that both fits design concept and client’s budget. · Collaborative, team oriented and a passion for learning · Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills · Great listening and people skills, ability to empathize with the client · Detail oriented · Understand project processes and deadlines, strong project management skills. · Sketching and rendering skills · Passion for the work you do and the people you do it with!
