Interior Designer - 2 YRS EXP REQ

Murray Homes is seeking an energetic Interior Designer to join our Sarasota office. The ideal applicant must have a minimum of one year of experience in the residential building/interior design field and have the ability to create and manage CAD or similar program. Responsibilities... The Designer works under the supervision of the Operations Manager and Project Manager working very closely with the homeowner/client to achieve selections and design specifications. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a keen ability to translate design intent into drawings. An ability to communicate (written and verbal) and collaboration is paramount. Qualified candidates should possess strong organizational skills, an ability to formulate, research and ask pertinent questions, and the initiative to take on design or technical challenges. Working as part of a small team, the Designer will have exposure to the full design process. Required Skills & Required Experience: • Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from an accredited university preferred, but not required • 2+ years of experience • Strong design skills and a desire to develop technical expertise • Must be proficient in CAD (or similar), & MS Office • Rendering abilities and graphic experience a plus Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
