Interior Designer

Martha Pearson Designs is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented designer who works well independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. MPD works with a broad range... of clientele, from high-end residential and commercial projects to custom furniture and lighting design. The position is a full-time position, and salary is commensurate based upon experience. Job Responsibilities: • Assisting the Senior Interior Designer and Project Consultants with design projects. • Knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation. • Ability to generate concept designs and presenting them to senior designers. • Sourcing furniture design, fabrics, lighting, art, and finishes. • Developing finish, fixtures, equipment, hardware, and plumbing schedules. • Tracking, ordering, and processing purchase orders and maintaining budgets for multiple vendors and clients. • Preparing presentation documents, renderings and graphics for client presentations. • Coordination with sub-vendors throughout the project to ensure the timely execution of project elements. • Ability to design according to ADA and IBC standards. • Attend meetings with clients, contractors and consultants. • Comfort visiting jobsites to review quality of work. • Must be able to work in a collaborative manner with a team, with clear communication skills and ability to manage time. • Assist in finish project documentation and photography. • Development of design standards, organization of the material library and project files. • Social Media strategy knowledge a plus. Qualifications: • Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
