We are seeking a real creative rockstar (attitude required) in a Designer role. A true go-getter that needs no micro-managing. You must be able to handle a ranging scope of responsibility with each project and be comfortable with a high level of ambiguity. Stuff changes. Constantly. And you'll need to be ok with that. Strong attention to detail and professionalism are required but we can't have someone taking themselves too seriously. If you consider yourself inflexible, don't like to have fun, and laughing at work is your enemy then this won't be a great position for you.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
• Create or assist in creating design boards and concepts
• Create or assist in creating project budgets
• Draft or assist in drafting floor plans
• Create or assist in creating mood and layout boards
• Source finish selections and materials
• Draft or assist in drafting proposals and scope of work
• Organize and maintain the sample library
• Additional tasks as assigned
As Assigned:
• Take field measurements
• Request and enter custom quotes and bids
• Prepare for client meetings
• Assist during installation and photoshoot days; moving furnishings, organization, pack up, and other tasks as needed
Requirements, Skills & Abilities:
• A degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or similar, OR a minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar position
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot when issues arise and see jobs through to the end
• Proficiency in Sketchup is required; Photoshop and 2020 Kitchen Design software is highly preferred
• Proficient computer skills; A knowledge of Apple & Google products is required
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communicator, confident in dealing with a wide range of individuals
• Comfortable with ever-changing needs and ambiguity
• Ability to lift up to 45lb
• Must have an active driver’s license and a clean driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
