Interior Design Specialist

We provide furniture solutions, sound management, architectural elements, and change management services. Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Interior Planning professional to join our team. As an Interior Planning expert, you will be responsible for activities related to the design, space planning, and specification of systems furniture in collaboration with the design team, sales team, and project managers. Responsibilities: • Attend client planning meetings to provide professional customer interface. • Perform programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, product pricing, design, and selection of finishes, including as-built drawings, block plans, test-fits, and finished working drawings for specification and installation. • Coordinate, develop, and review proposed project designs and construction plans. • Validate plans against construction, electrical engineering, and Architect & Design (A&D) drawing sets as well as physical build-out. • Consult with the project team on the layout, design, and space planning of furniture specifications. • Prepare presentation material, including renderings. • Develop project specifications, double-check specifications against plans, assure specifications are ready for order entry, and manage changes and revisions. • Work with installers and project management to ensure installation meets customer specifications. • Track and record design hours for specific projects for job costing. Requirements: • Employment experience at a design firm or dealership. • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Construction, or Interior Architecture. • Commercial projects/interior experience. Preferred Skills: • Proficient in Microsoft Programs, AutoCAD. • NCIDQ certification and PMP certification are a plus. • Visual Impressions 2020 is a plus.
