The position of Interior Design Specialist contributes to the success of our studio by creating high-quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing design deliverables to clients.
• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Determine initial goals and requirements for the space(s) to be designed in collaboration with clients.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, painters, and builders to understand how interior space should function, appear, and be furnished.
• Analyze space requirements and movement patterns to create effective designs.
• Prepare sketches or visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to clients.
• Select materials, furnishings, and decor in consultation with clients.
• Utilize design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.
• Determine project timelines and costs, presenting accurate estimates to clients.
• Order or obtain necessary materials, adhering to project specifications.
• Oversee the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.
• Evaluate client satisfaction by visiting completed projects with the client.
• Address client complaints or concerns promptly.
• *Requirements and Qualifications:**
• Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end interior design (commercial and/or residential).
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Able to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors.
• Strong visual design skills, including proportion and aesthetics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in CAD/Revit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced knowledge of FF&E, architectural finishes, lighting, art signage, color, and materials.
• Knowledge of building codes and inspection regulations related to interiors.
• Prior project management experience as the primary point of contact.
• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or a related field required.
• Fluency in CAD/Revit software required.
• Interior design certification highly preferred.
• *Compensation and Benefits:**
• Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
