Role Overview: Our Interior Design Specialists play a key role in inspiring customers to embrace a timeless style. As a part of our team, you will help customers confidently create homes where life’s special moments happen, fostering a culture focused on exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities...
• Deliver a genuine and friendly customer experience, meeting or exceeding sales and other established key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct design appointments both in-store and virtually, as well as in customers' homes.
• Use your interior design and sales skills to guide customers through their design needs and purchasing decisions.
• Employ sales analytics and design software to enhance store profitability and support brand success (creating mood boards, space plans, and 2D/3D room views).
• Share knowledge of products, fabrics, finishes, and market trends to influence customer buying decisions using digital and physical samples.
• Work independently with strong communication and time management skills, handling multiple tasks and customers simultaneously.
• Participate in store operations such as product placement, floor sets, replenishment, and substitutions as needed.
• Engage in a dynamic work environment with frequent changes in products, promotions, and operations.
• Ensure policies and procedures are communicated effectively and consistently followed.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in interior design, furniture, or home goods.
• Understanding of design principles including spatial planning, fabric selection, and interior design styles and trends.
• Ability to work well within a team sales environment.
• Strong organizational, self-motivated, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing.
• Regular handling, feeling, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Occasional sitting; regular climbing or balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
