About this role

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Interior Design Specialist to join our team. As an Interior Design Specialist, you will be responsible for combining creativity and technical knowledge with business skills to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate on interior architecture and design projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and management of budgets and schedules. • Design and deliver functional and beautiful spaces for projects within various industries. • Develop building core and enclosure systems. • Advise clients and team about building and zoning codes. • Manage client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants. • Support communication between project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials. • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges. • Maintain project manuals and specifications. • Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's during construction. Requirements: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design from an accredited program. • 5-8 years of relevant experience with interior architecture and/or ground up building architectural experience (ideally both). • Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD + 3-D, Enscape, VRay, Grasshopper, Rhino, or other visualization software. • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or SPEXX is a plus. • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures. • Hand rendering skills to communicate design concepts are a plus. • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas. • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development. • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly. • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills. • Must be on a path to become a Registered Architect. • LEED accreditation is a plus. • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices.
