at CDM Smith in Meridian, Idaho, United States Job Description 42679BR Requisition ID: 42679BR Business Unit: COR Job Description: CDM Smith is seeking an Interior Design Specialist to support its firmwide workplace strategy across 500,000 square feet of office space. This dynamic role integrates interior design, space planning, and project management, ensuring that office environments are functional, visually compelling, and aligned with business goals. This is a hybrid position requiring two days per week in the office. The role is based in a metropolitan area on the East Coast of the United States. Candidates must currently reside on the East Coast. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design planning and execution of office space projects, from concept through completion. - Develop drawings and presentations for internal stakeholders to communicate design intent and spatial solutions. - Collaborate cross-functionally to gather business intelligence for move sequencing and relocation logistics. - Manage the procurement and coordination of furniture systems, ensuring alignment with company standards. - Serve as a liaison between local offices, vendors, project teams, and property management. - Oversee construction management for office buildouts and expansions. - Ensure compliance with corporate workplace design standards through review of fit plans and construction documents. - Maintain internal resources including the department web page and workroom site. - Performs other duties as assigned. \#LI-LP2 \#LI- HYBRID Job Title: Interior Design Specialist Workplace Environments Group: COR Employment Type: Regular Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelors degree. - 3 years of related experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Preferred Qualifications: - NCIQ or IIDA certification - Familiarity with corporate design standards and sustainable design practices. - Experience managing multi-site office projects or working within a large corporate real estate portfolio.
