Interior Design Sales Specialist
Job Summary of Interior Design Sales Specialist:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting in-store guests with a selling strategy that follows the guidelines of the Guest Engagement Model, with a strong emphasis on Interior Design. The role involves servicing scheduled design appointments made in-house, through commercial business channels, or via appointment-setting technology, by analyzing collected information related to the project's requests and constraints.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Interior Design Sales Specialist:
• Greet and engage guests, executing sales strategies using Living Spaces' Guest Engagement Model and supporting behaviors.
• Determine guests' goals and requirements for their design project.
• Provide relevant design advice, product knowledge, and recommendations based on the project’s needs.
• Present customized room designs, including fabric samples, furniture, tables, and accessory suggestions.
• Maintain current knowledge of merchandise lines, product features, benefits, and availability.
• Master product knowledge and brand design inspirations to guide guests effectively.
• Process customer transactions in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Complete required training within the expected timeframe and participate in ongoing learning opportunities.
• Actively support the store team to delight guests and help achieve revenue targets.
• Ensure that the store is "Grand Opening" ready by completing the daily task list and style guides.
• Available to work weekends and most holidays.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience of Interior Design Sales Specialist:
• Associate degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from a community college or four-year college in interior design.
• 1-2 years of experience in customer service, retail, or a furniture store environment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required; knowledge of design software is a plus.
• Vocational certificate or degree in interior design preferred.
• Must successfully complete the internal certification program at Living Spaces.

Salary:
• Compensation: $20.90 - $27.15 per hour.
