About this role

We are seeking a high achieving interior designer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a brand-new full service interior design studio at Southern Heritage Home. This role is in-store as well as on-location with clients who are visiting or making appointments to work with a skilled designer doing room planning and presenting detailed selections of all aspects of the home. You will have access to more than 40 vendors offering furniture, fabric, and home décor, as well as four retail locations: two first-line furniture stores and two outlets, all within walking-distance. To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable talking with people in-person, via telephone, and via email. As a polished professional, you will be confident in your ability to provide excellent customer service and create a lasting impression with our customers. We’re looking for someone with a strong command of creating, reading, and revising floor plans. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their work from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: • Greet clients and quickly identify their needs • Assist clients in furnishing their homes, optimizing spaces, and creating room plans that include furniture, lighting, and accessories • Follow up with customers to close sales • Write-up invoices and approve acknowledgements • Track shipments and communicate delivery timelines with clients • Use tools such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Outlook, or equivalent (experience with CAD or Revit is a bonus!). • Represent Southern Heritage Home with professionalism and exceptional client service What We’re Looking For: • A confident and polished interior design professional who thrives on helping clients achieve their design goals • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with technology • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a drive to meet and exceed sales expectations What We Offer: • 401(k) plan with employer matching funds. • Optional vision, dental, and life insurance programs. • Employee purchase discounts • Holiday Savings plan • Ongoing career training and professional development • A fun and collaborative work environment with opportunities to sharpen your design expertise • Hourly and Commission based structure • How to Apply: Are you a go-getter with a passion for sales and interior design?
