Interior Design Rug Retail & Wholesale Sales

We are looking for an Interior Designer or someone with a strong sense of style and color to join the Banana Manor Team to work in our 10,000ft² Rug Factory Outlet in Uptown New Orleans and do in-home design consultations as needed. Ideal candidate will have good energy, be likable, have a sense of humor and love to laugh, enjoy talking to people and have an eye for design and love beautiful... things. You need to possess the ability to kick butt working with Retail Customers & Interior Designers, as you go through the process of finding them the perfect In Stock or Made-to-Order Rug. You will also work with Private Label Wholesale Customers + play a huge role in keeping our website & other online channels up to date for e-commerce. We are open 7 days a week and our team is at work from 9:45-5ish and work 5 shifts per week. Experience working with Shopify is a PLUS. This is not a corporate minded position. This is a small, rapidly growing operation that needs a dependable, strong work ethic, competent & capable, punctual, positive person who understands that the job description is “get the job done, whatever that means on any given day or moment”. It also requires the person to understand our goals to grow the various sales channels and go after making it happen. This is a fun job that oftentimes involves beers & margaritas, but it is also a physical job that involves flipping of rugs to show customers their rug options and pulling rugs from the stacks when they select one. Which always seems to be the rug at the bottom of the stack;) We have laborers to do the “heavy lifting”, but it is still a physical job. This is done in a hot, cold, etc... open air warehouse, with fans everywhere. But if you are one of those people that isn't physically equipped to handle the heat then this is not a job for you. We work hard. We sweat hard, sell a lot of rugs and we have a great time doing what we do. $20 Hour + Bonus Pool (which is typically quite substantial). We are growing. FAST. Be a core part of our small team and there is tremendous potential for you. This is a position that I want to see the right person making between 80-200k in 2025 and more year after year. With the growth potential in wholesale, online and brick & mortar, there is no limit to where this position could lead
