Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of interior design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The Project Manager will act as the primary liaison between our design firm, clients, contractors, and suppliers, coordinating all aspects of the project from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and implementation of project tasks and resources, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring project progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients to identify their needs and expectations, providing regular updates and managing any changes to the project scope.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, suppliers, and in-house team of interior designers, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
• Manage project budgets, including estimating costs, negotiating with suppliers and contractors, and ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate and maintained, including contracts, design plans, and client approvals.
• Resolve any project-related issues promptly, implementing solutions to mitigate project risks.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building codes, and safety standards.
• Lead project meetings and provide detailed reports on project status.
• In depth knowledge of architectural plans, elevations, sections, construction details, lighting design, and millwork design
• Experience with high end furniture purchasing processes and budget management
• A passion for design and a commitment to excellence
• The ability to think strategically and methodically in a creative environment
• A willingness to wear multiple hats (small design team)
• Self starter and resourceful problem solver
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Project Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Project Manager in the interior design industry or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the design process, construction methods, and project management principles.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software, and familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for interior design.
