Interior Design Project Leader We are seeking a talented and experienced individual who is ready to take on the challenge of managing intricate interior design projects within the mission-critical sector. This role requires a professional with a keen sense of judgment, capable of evaluating tools and techniques while enthusiastically solving design problems as they arise. You will manage our resources—people, processes, and tools—effectively and serve as a mentor to junior staff, embodying the values and mission of our firm. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the team to ensure design execution and successful delivery of implementation documents.Collaborate with the Project In-Charge (PIC) and Project Manager (PM) to define project work plans and manage production schedules, meeting deadlines consistently.Contribute to the development of effective solutions for technical and design detail challenges with minimal supervision.Utilize creative thinking to innovate and enhance design concepts.Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring all documents align with industry standards and best practices.Assist in crafting interior concepts that reflect the client's vision, desires, and architectural styles.Prepare and present compelling client presentations, articulating design concepts clearly.Facilitate coordination with PM, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to address technical requests and modifications.Engage with various stakeholders to incorporate all relevant information into project requirements.Research products and assist in evaluating materials and systems for optimal selections.Conduct code analysis, ensuring compliance with zoning requirements for assigned project segments.Lead the selection process for furniture, furnishings, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), palettes, and lighting alternatives.Support review and approval processes for programming, design development documents, and RFIs.Document on-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings as necessary.Guide consultant teams through meetings and prepare actionable minutes.Qualifications: A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.NCIDQ certification or an architectural license is highly preferred.Sustainable design accreditation is a plus.Proficient in Revit and Bluebeam; intermediate skills in Rhino, Grasshopper, Photoshop, InDesign, Dynamo, Twinmotion, and Enscape.Familiarity with virtual reality applications and basic knowledge of AI design tools is desirable.Intermediate knowledge of sustainability guidelines and architectural systems required.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Basic relationship management skills and effective communication abilities are essential.Willingness to travel as necessary.
