JOB OBJECTIVE
The Design Project Manager will lead design projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. This role requires strong design acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead the design process from concept development through construction documentation and administration.
· Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to client goals and expectations.
· Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
· Oversee site planning, space planning, and building design with a focus on aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
· Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements.
· Present design proposals and progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
· Review and approve architectural drawings, models, and renderings.
· Support business development efforts by pursuing and fostering new client relationships, contributing to proposals, participating in client meetings and interviews, and helping communicate the firm’s design capabilities and value.
· Actively engage in learning construction methods, field coordination, and design-build practices to broaden understanding of the full project lifecycle and support integrated project delivery.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
· 3+ years of professional experience
· Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
· Familiarity with project management tools (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
