Position Overview One of Austin’s top interior design firms is seeking an Interior Design Project Manager at Design Management Company in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate is a reliable, organized, and solutions-oriented professional who will manage projects from start to finish – overseeing the design process from conceptual through construction administration, collaborating with Senior Designers and the Principal, managing client relationships, and ensuring timely project completion. Key Responsibilities Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation. Coordinate between designers, architects, contractors, clients, and other partners to ensure project objectives are met. Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initial concept development to final installation and client handover. Facilitate weekly team check-ins and coordinate deliverable meetings with clients, setting clear expectations and providing meeting recaps. Manage project timelines and keep finish schedules (tile, stone, plumbing, hardware, wall and window coverings, etc.) accurate and up-to-date. Lead site visits in collaboration with the design team, handling documentation and follow-up. Maintain robust project documentation and produce weekly detailed status reports for clients. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to resolve challenges promptly. Establish and nurture strong client relationships by serving as the primary point of contact and addressing concerns professionally. Collaborate with senior team members to create and manage client furnishing budgets and material allowances. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited program Minimum 5 years of related work experience Extensive CAD experience with expertise in creating and redlining construction documents Strong knowledge of construction and materials Excellent, concise verbal and written communication skills Highly detail-oriented with strong leadership and relationship-management skills Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks, projects, and clients Proficiency using Mac, Google Sheets, and project management software Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs Must be a problem-solver, self-starter, and highly resourceful Benefits & Perks Access to over 25 years of industry expertise and networking opportunities Tailored career growth and professional development Referral fees up to $2,500 for referrals to talented candidates Guidance on current market trends and compensation packages
