At Jill Howard Design Studio LLC, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Project Administrator. As a key member of our interior design team in Charleston, SC, this part-time position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who thrives in a creative environment.
This is not a design position, but rather a supportive role that enables our designers to focus on delivering exceptional results. Key responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with designers to request vendor quotes, enter design items, and create proposals using Studio Designer software.
• Processing and expediting orders, as well as paying all vendor invoices.
• Preparing and sending invoices, collecting, and posting invoice payments in Studio Designer software.
• Posting expenses and vendor payments.
• Entering inventory.
• CORRESPONDING WITH THE BOOKKEEPER.
• Keeping track of freight retainer payments and balances.
• Monitoring, tracking, and following up on progress of orders and purchases to ensure accuracy and timelines are met.
• Managing project binders and project files.
• Identifying issues with orders and reviewing them with the interior designer to execute solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be proficient in Google Suite, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and have a hybrid work schedule that allows you to work from home occasionally. Familiarity with the interior design business and knowledge of commonly used practices and terminology are also a plus.
