About this role
The ideal candidate for this role will manage and perform within a design team in a self-directed manner in all aspects of the Interior Design process including preparation of materials, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, rendering and construction of administration activities within an established budget with specific scheduling, site, and programmatic requirements.
EDUCATION
Bachelor or Master’s degree in interior design or Architecture from a CIDA - accredited or NAAB-accredited program
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years

NCIDQ preferred

JOB REQUIRED SKILLS
• Work under the direction of the Principal
• Meet regularly with the Principal to obtain concurrence on major issues, discuss solutions to problems and set strategies.
• Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate the interior design scope of services for which the Gettys Group has contracted with the client.
• Responsible for establishing and monitoring design, production, and FF installation schedule for the Gettys Group scope of services.
• Responsible for verifying or establishing FF budgets for the Gettys Group scope of services and updating that same information.
• Coordinate technical support required for project and detailed review as it relates to code, zoning, and engineering requirements with Project Designer.
• Leads quality assurance for the project and assures that department standards are utilized.
• Primary documenter, memo writer, letter writer and keeper of the project files.
• Establish and maintain project staff at sufficient levels to perform required tasks and meet required fee budgets and schedules.
• Expeditiously review and process billing and other project accounting.
• Identify additional services and after review with Principal, process accordingly.
• Participate in marketing and sales effort and participate in early client contact when requested.
• Provide input for financial and marketing database.
• Become the primary contact with the client’s Project Manager.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, letters of intent, letters of agreement and contracts.
• Along with the Principal, be responsible for the Gettys Group profitability on the project.
• Along with the Principal, be responsible for collection of payments.
• Display exceptional written communication skills in preparing reports, correspondence, and proposals.
• Display powerful desire to function as mentor and demonstrate good mentoring skills.
• Provide realistic and fair performance appraisals to team members.
• Assist Department head in interviewing prospective employees.
• Prepare all contractual documents required by the project related to any additional services.
• Perform any Construction Administration services that are related to the Interior Design scope of work for the project.
