Job Description
Sandra Britt Interiors is a full-service interior design firm with high-end residential and commercial projects in South Florida and nationally. We believe that environment shapes the experience. We seek an experienced and highly driven Project Manager to join our team. The candidate must be an organized, detail-orientated designer who is prepared to wear multiple hats to effectively oversee our day-to-day operations. The Project Manager will manage 6-8 high-end residential and/or commercial projects simultaneously while providing professional client, vendor, and team relations. This role requires a self-starter attitude with the ability to multi-task, maintain strong attention to detail when under pressure, set and abide by timelines/ deadlines, have knowledge of procurement procedures and budgets, and have experience coordinating trade installations.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within scope through planning, coordination, and team administration.
• Assist with projects by performing initial site meetings, planning, scheduling, contractors and vendor management, communication efforts, product procurement, deliverable definition, risk management, and project completion.
• Determine the financial and timeline aspect of a project to meet project requirements using their knowledge of architectural concepts, practices, construction documents and procedures.
• Ability to understand contracts, negotiate contracts for services, submit RFQs, follow- up, create proposals and invoices in Studio Designer.
• Produce floorplans, elevations, section details, furniture plans, millwork details, shop drawings, and finish schedules.
• Create, manage, and maintain knowledge of existing facilities, client standards, industry requirements, codes, policies, and procedures.
• Develop and manage client relationships with external parties, internal team, and the Principal regarding project updates, issues, and solutions efficiently on a daily and/or weekly basis.
• Provide any requested support by the Principal, including but not limited to requesting samples, attending in-person meetings, site visits, potential project walk throughs, presentation support and regularly scheduled client calls.
• Conduct work with a desire and willingness to gain new knowledge and experience.
Requirements
• 5+ years’ experience producing design projects
• Highly proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, Studio Designer, and Photoshop.
• Experience in procurement, claims, building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.
• Reliable transportation daily. Must have their own vehicle.
• Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus but not required)
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong time-management skills in fast-paced environments managing between 6-8 projects at a time
• Extensive knowledge of materials, furnishings, and construction methods related to interior architecture.
• Excellent presentation and communications skills
• Solution-based thinking. Resolves problems in a creative way.
• Ability to work in independent and collaborative settings.
• Must love the profession.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
